Manton 1989-98 5.9L 12 Valve Cummins Pushrods Series 5

Proven in top motorsports, Series 5 pushrods are the strongest and most durable chromoly options available. Upgrade your 12 Valve Cummins pushrods for improved valve train stability and performance. Stock 3/8 diameter pushrods, nearly 11 inches long, aren’t adequate beyond stock applications. When pushrod stress exceeds reasonable limits, OEM pushrods can’t support additional valve train loads.

We offer 3/8 and 7/16 diameter 3-piece pushrods made from 4130/4135 seamless Chromoly tubing Heat treated. Standard billet steel tip ends are CNC machined from 86L20 bar stock, then core hardened and triple tempered for durability. These materials and treatments extend pushrod service life and enhance valve train performance. Our engineering adapts to your engine’s needs, ensuring optimal fit and function.

We prioritize larger diameter pushrods to distribute loads without cylinder head port binding. The 7/16 diameter nearly doubles loading capacity before pushrod deflection, making it ideal for Cummins engines. Opt for our Series 5 pushrods in competition engines for enhanced strength and performance. Series 5 provides an extra 105,000 p.s.i. tensile strength over Series 3, improving valve timing accuracy and surge resistance.

For custom engine configurations, use our pushrod length checking tools to maintain stock rocker geometry. Correct pushrod length ensures proper rocker arm contact with the valve bridge, preserving valve lift accuracy. Pushrods are crucial for optimal valve train function and longevity, often overlooked in pursuit of performance gains.
