Stock 3/8 diameter pushrods are inadequate beyond stock vehicles due to their almost 11.5-inch length in the 24V Cummins. When pushrod stress exceeds reasonable limits, the OEM design can’t support additional valve train loads.
We offer 3/8 and 7/16 diameter 3-piece pushrods crafted from 4130/4135 seamless Chromoly tubing. Standard features include billet steel tip ends CNC machined from 86L20 bar stock, core hardened, and triple tempered for durability. This material and heat treatment combination extends pushrod service life and enhances overall valve train performance. Our engineering flexibility ensures an optimal fit for your specific engine combination.
We maximize pushrod diameter to prevent binding with the cylinder head port, spreading loads over a larger surface area. The 7/16 diameter provides nearly twice the loading capacity before deflection, making it ideal for Cummins engines. Aim for our Series 5 pushrods in competition engines, offering 105,000 p.s.i. additional tensile strength over Series 3. Enhanced rigidity improves valve timing accuracy and raises the surge threshold in your engine.
